Attorney Jonathan Skorheim to Join Skorheim & Associates!

After 3 Years as an Attorney with Well-Respected Family Law Firm Minyard Morris, Jon Returns to Forensic Accounting Career!

We are proud to announce that Jonathan Skorheim has returned to Skorheim & Associates to resume his career as a Forensic Accountant. He will also serve as General Counsel for the firm. Jon previously worked for the firm after graduating from college serving on a number of complex business litigation disputes while obtaining his CPA credential. He then attended law school at the Dale E. Fowler School of Law at Chapman University in Orange County. While in law school, Jon served as a law clerk with the Orange County District Attorney’s Office Major Fraud Unit. There he assisted deputy and supervising DA’s develop and prosecute fraud, embezzlement and white collar cases. He also enjoyed working with DA investigators to execute search warrants and catalog computers and digital evidence.

Upon graduation from law school with an emphasis in Business Law, Jon passed the California bar exam and went to work as an associate attorney with one of Orange County’s top family law firms, Minyard Morris LLP where he spent the last 3 years concentrating on property division, financial support and business valuation issues in the family law arena.

Since Jon’s early college years, he has served in various volunteer positions at the Orange County Bar Foundation (OCBF). He has been a mentor for college bound high school young men, helping them prepare for their higher education experience. Jon is a Founding Fellow of the OCBF Society of Fellows, a financial and professional support group for the OCBF. He has also served on the Foundation’s Associate Board, a group of young professionals also supporting the programs of the OCBF. Jon is the Associate Board’s President-Elect and will serve as the Associate Board’s President in 2017. He will also be serving on the Foundation’s Audit Committee for the second consecutive year, the Higher Education Mentoring Program Committee, and will be Co-Chair of the Golf Tournament Committee for his third consecutive year. In 2014, Jon was the youngest recipient of the Foundation’s Distinguished Fellow Award, bestowed on members of the Society of Fellows who have demonstrated distinguished service to the programs of the OCBF.

Jon will be bringing a number of valuable skills, a strong work ethic, a reputation for competence and integrity, and extensive professional networking relationships to Skorheim & Associates and we are pleased to have him back!
